My sustainability statement
I am very aware that everything I do as a business will have a certain level of environmental impact. However, I will be making a conscious effort to minimise this in any way I can.
Within my practice, I will work on keeping a policy of underconsumption and responsible production. To do this, I will operate my business online through online forms and wetransfer links. Whilst I know that everything the internet has its own impact, I have Ecosia set as my default browser. This is a browser that uses their profit to plant a tree for every search. They publish their reports and progress on this website: https://www.ecosia.org/
As a part of this, I will not be offering printing services as standard, but rather I will send digital copies of the finished photos for the clients to print if they would like. I will also signpost them to this site that prints photos on environmentally friendly, 100% recycled paper.

I also know that one of the biggest culprits is travel and that will be a big part of my career in photography. I do drive, I drive an older, petrol car that is very fuel economic and has lived many lives. However, I will also attempt to offset this by lift-sharing where possible, using public transport if feasible or walking if the venue is within walking distance.
Another goal for me is to enhance the local community. Too much emphasis is put on large companies to be the main providers for an area and so, through my work, I aim to partner with and shine a light on as many smaller businesses, organisations or charities as possible. Whether this be through free photoshoots for promotional content in exchange for brand partnerships, simply donating some of the profits per shoot or having a charity partnership.
